Challenge.

How do you accelerate the mission of a business through a global brand refresh?

The Carbon Trust have been pioneering decarbonisation for more than 20 years for businesses, governments and organisations around the world. With over over 300 experts internationally, they have supported over 3,000 organisations in 50 countries and supporting cities across 5 continents on the journey to Net Zero.

Our brief was to refresh their brand to help them accelerate towards their mission to Net Zero. Our scope included: Brand strategy, Brand identity, Brand video, Brand guidelines, Brand roll out (on and off line) and a Brand campaign launch including social and video assets.

Solution.

How we raised the bar for Carbon Trust

Our main priority was to balance the heritage and reputation they had built for over the past 20 years of being a global pioneer in the environmental sector with their current need to massively accelerate the mission of being able to hit Net Zero by 2050.

The organising idea of ‘mission critical’ gives them a clear direction and communication platform to set the tone for urgency around their role and directly helps to convey their core mission. This new brand position is brought to life visually with a graphic language that focuses on the idea of journeys, routes and navigating towards a destination in partnership. The imagery and colour palette have been designed to be bold and direct with colours that are digital first to help the brand have a clear stand out in the space.
